| The testing of the manual system was very good it controled the engine with or with out the electronic governor actuated,The owner flew it up the coast several times and the workings did as designed, But fate was not as kind, On the last flight the owner was fogged in and landed on a mountan fire road and found in his mind that it would not hover ,and after burning fuel off he called a friend for some advise,It was bad news as he took off down wind ,down hill,at high DA, the helicopter settled and rolled on its left side ,Even with 150 + horsepower you can't fly down wind @6500 DA on the down wind side of a slope. I wish he pointed his nose in to the wind and let it climb at what ever rate and fly the ridge till ETL.....He called for a lift from the the local Sheriff.and salvaged the helicopter. He will be a little wiser I hope. At least he has a new progect to do in his spare time..... |
